We build document retrieval systems for organizations that work with material they can’t hand to a third party. The person who scopes your work is the person who writes it, and you deal with them directly from the first conversation.
PhD in electrical engineering, with research in machine learning. Adam built the verified-citation retrieval engine this practice is based on: the ingestion and chunking, the authorization model, the constrained generation, and the checking pipeline that decides whether an answer is shown at all.

Why this focus
A demo of a chatbot over a PDF takes an afternoon. The version that survives someone checking it takes much longer: a citation can’t be invented, a quotation can’t drift, a restricted document can’t be retrieved by someone who shouldn’t see it, and when two documents disagree the system says so.
That work is most of the effort in a real deployment, and it decides whether the system is still in use after the first month.
It is the work this practice takes on, for people whose documents are sensitive enough that every answer has to be checkable.
